Refunds & Cancellation

Last updated: 21 September 2026

This page explains, in plain language, how to cancel your Macrovelo subscription, your statutory right of withdrawal as an EU/EEA consumer, our voluntary money-back guarantee, and how we handle refunds. It forms part of our Terms of Service, and for consumers in the United States it should be read together with our US Consumer Terms.

Nothing on this page reduces any mandatory consumer right you have under the law of your country of residence. Where a mandatory right gives you more than our voluntary policy, the mandatory right applies.

1. How to cancel

You can cancel your subscription at any time, online, in one click, from your account settings or the customer portal — without calling, emailing, or going through retention offers. There are no cancellation fees and no hurdles.

When you cancel a paid plan, the cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep full access to paid features until then, and you will not be charged again. Cancelling stops all future automatic renewals. If you cancel during a free trial before it ends, you will not be charged at all.

2. What happens to your access and data after cancellation

After your paid period ends, your account reverts to any free tier we offer or becomes inactive, and recurring billing stops. Your personal data is then handled in line with our Privacy Policy, including our retention rules; you can also export or delete your data at any time. Cancelling a subscription is not the same as deleting your account — if you want your account removed, use the account-deletion tool or contact us.

3. EU/EEA right of withdrawal (14 days)

If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you normally have the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The 14-day period starts on the day the contract is concluded (the day you purchase the subscription).

To exercise this right, you must inform us of your decision to withdraw by a clear statement before the 14-day period ends — for example by email to the address in Section 8, or by using a withdrawal form. To meet the deadline, it is enough that you send your communication before the withdrawal period has expired. If you withdraw in time and the exception in Section 4 does not apply, we will refund all payments we received from you without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we are informed of your decision, using the same payment method you used, at no cost to you.

4. Digital content and services — important exception

Our Service is digital content and digital services that are made available to you immediately after purchase. Under EU consumer law, you can ask us to begin providing the Service during the 14-day withdrawal period. If you do, you expressly request immediate performance and acknowledge that you will lose your right of withdrawal once the Service has been fully performed.

Where you withdraw after performance has begun but before it is complete, you may be required to pay an amount that is proportionate to the part of the Service already provided up to the moment you informed us, compared with the full contract. We make this clear at checkout and obtain your acknowledgement before you pay. This exception does not affect our voluntary money-back guarantee in Section 5.

5. Our voluntary money-back guarantee

Separately from, and in addition to, your statutory rights, we offer a voluntary satisfaction guarantee: if you are not satisfied within 14 days of your first paid charge (not a renewal), contact support and we will give you a full refund of that charge.

This guarantee is a goodwill policy that never reduces or replaces your legal rights. It applies to your first paid charge only. After the 14-day window, and for renewal charges, amounts paid for the current billing period are non-refundable except where a refund is required by law or expressly offered by us. Pausing billing, where available, does not extend the guarantee window. We may decline repeated or abusive refund requests, or requests where there are signs of fraud or misuse, to the extent the law allows.

6. Refunds required by law

In addition to the above, we will provide a refund where the law requires one — for example if we fail to provide the Service in conformity with the contract and cannot remedy it, if we permanently discontinue a paid feature you have already paid for, or where a mandatory consumer or automatic-renewal law in your jurisdiction requires it. US consumers should also review the Refunds section of our US Consumer Terms and their applicable state-law rights.

7. How refunds are issued and timing

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method used for the purchase, processed through our payment provider, Stripe. We process approved refunds promptly. The time for the refund to appear on your statement then depends on your bank or card issuer and is outside our control, but it is typically a few business days to a couple of weeks. We do not charge any fee for issuing a refund.

8. How to request a refund or withdraw

To request a refund, exercise your right of withdrawal, or ask a billing question, email [email protected] from the email address associated with your account. Please include the reason for your request (a reason is not required to withdraw within the 14-day period) and the approximate purchase date so we can locate your payment quickly. We aim to acknowledge requests within 2 business days. You can write to us at ERISBIO SRL, Bdul. Independenței 266, Brăila, Romania.
