Food guide
Is it paleo?
Meat, fish, eggs, vegetables, fruit, and nuts — no grains, legumes, or dairy. Browse common foods and see if they fit the plan, based on our Paleo rules.
Honest con: Restrictive, with little extra benefit versus a balanced diet at the same calories. A whole-food filter can help some people eat less junk. It does not burn more fat.
What to eat
Meat, poultry, fish, eggs, vegetables, fruit, nuts, seeds, and olive oil or avocado. Build plates from protein + plants. Skip grains, legumes, dairy, and packaged sweets.
Watch / avoid
Grains, legumes, dairy, processed snacks, and sweets. Restaurant bread, beans, and cheese sauces are the usual slip-ups.
